Natural wood childrens shelf

This shelf unit was designed to incorporate several key elements which include knock down assembly for easy shipping, a piece that would not require any fasteners yet be extremely stable and as with all the furniture I design and build it had to be extremely durable, simple and functional. The end product is this contemporary unit made with 5 pieces of durable child safe baltic birch that simply slide together and interlock to provide the ultimate in durability, functionality and simplicity.

Providing a personalized storage place for your child's belongings, within easy reach and view, is a helpful tool in teaching organization, pride and order. This shelf fits well into a structured home schooling environment and the simple design also conforms with the typical contemporary Montessori or Waldorf type teaching and learning environment.
